Vilija Vitkute is a fine art artist, bodypainter, film director, photographer, performing artist, and producer, which is based in Scandinavia, Swedia.
Her works are closely related to the relationship between human and nature, body, spirit, colours, and emotion. Bodypainting is considered as her life now.
Vilija’s passion for art comes from nature, philosophy, music, dance, movie, and story. She also works about climate change and equality. Not only that, but she also works as bodypainter, photographer, movie and creative, art director, even producing dances and bodypainting shows.
She goes around the world, making bodypainting, which then is released to the nature. Her works bring us back to nature, which slowly gets replaced by modern life.
In her movies, she connects nature with human’s body as one. She works with bhuto dance, using technology in organic way by making visual animation, which is specially used on human’s body.
Her newest movie, titled “Long Winter”, which is created together with Running Rivers (a team of collective artists which is started by Vilija Vitkute in 2014), will be released by the end of September 2017.
