CJ Hendry is an artist from Brisbane, a city in Australian State of Queensland. Besides famous with her black and white paintings, this artist also creates new works, which is named Complementary Colours.
Some of her black and white works such as Chanel perfume bottle and Kayne West’s face with $100 are quite well known among artists, American citizens, even the whole world.
This artist with the age of 28 even have opened her own first event in New York, The Trophy Room, in a gallery at Greene Street by showing some of her black and white paintings.
This time, CJ comes back with a new art project. She turns from black and white pieces to dynamic colour pose.
Even though the pieces are like a big splash of paint, she only uses colored pencils in making these works.
You really need to be patient in creating these Complementary Colours works, a layer of dried pigmen, and skills, to create such amazing realistic pieces.
When you see the result of these Complementary Colours, maybe you will think that is a big splash of paint and never think that these works are only made with colored pencils.
