Before, we have discussed about the most famous 30 street artists in the world. This time, iMural will tell you about the street arts that you can see in Portugal.
Street of Lisbon is an open-air museum which is full with ephemeral creation that can change into a cool art work faster than we think. You don’t need to go to suburbs or abandoned place to enjoy street arts, especially amazing graffiti. These authentic pieces of art can be found even in the center of history in Portuguese Capital.
Even though there has been graffiti in Portugal for decades already, there were two important initiatives that supported the urban arts, such as the creation of GAU (Urban Art Gallery) in 2008, a Lisbon City Hall which is designed to regenerate Bairro Alto project, and CRONO in 2010. Some of the best international artists also took part in CRONO project, such as Momo, Blu, Sam3, Os Gemeos, and Vhils.
